Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Contractor Snap, operated by Digital 1 Media (Canada). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping credentials secure, and for the activity of every member, subcontractor and client you invite. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans are billed in USD, monthly or annually in advance, through Stripe.
• New accounts may start a 14-day free trial. If you do not subscribe, the account simply stops at trial end.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings.
• Cancelling stops future charges; access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
• Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
• Additional user seats are billed at the rate shown on our pricing page at the time of purchase.
• If a payment fails, we keep your access active during the retry window and will email you. Repeated failure may suspend the account.
• Prices can change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
• Taxes are added where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you have no right to share, or content that is unlawful, harassing or infringing.
• Attempt to breach security, access other accounts, or probe the service without written permission.
• Resell or white-label the service without an agreement with us.
• Use the service to store data you are legally required to protect under a framework we have not agreed to (for example regulated health records).
• Abuse automated access in a way that degrades the service for others.

5. Your content

You own your photos, videos, documents and records. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, display and transmit them so the service can work — including generating reports, share links and, when you ask for it, AI analysis. We do not claim ownership and do not use your content to market to third parties.

6. Share links and client access

Share links are unlisted URLs. Anyone with the link can view the shared content, so treat links as sensitive and delete them when a job is finished. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided without an uptime guarantee. We may perform maintenance, change features or discontinue parts of the service, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

8. Records and evidence

Timestamps and coordinates are recorded from the capturing device. They are useful documentation, but we make no warranty that any record will be accepted as evidence in a dispute, claim or legal proceeding.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, for a breach of these terms, or where required by law. On termination you can request an export of your data before it is deleted.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced to account owners by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
