Who we are

Contractor Snap is operated by Digital 1 Media, based in Canada. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@contractorsnap.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, work email, company name, role and password (stored hashed), or the profile details your identity provider shares if you sign in with Google.
• Job site content — photos, videos, documents, annotations, measurements, comments, checklists, time entries, estimates, invoices and notes you or your crew create.
• Capture metadata — the time a photo was taken and, when you allow location access, the GPS coordinates of the device. Location is used to place work on a map and to confirm on-site clock-ins.
• Usage and device data — sign-in events, IP address, browser and device type, and error diagnostics used to keep the service running.
• Billing data — plan, billing cycle, subscription status and payment history. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.

How we use it

• To provide the service: storing your media, syncing it to your crew and generating reports.
• To secure accounts, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
• To process subscription payments and send billing notices.
• To send service messages such as mentions, task reminders and account alerts.
• To improve reliability and performance using aggregated, non-identifying measurements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your job site photos for advertising.

Automated analysis of photos

If you choose to run AI analysis on a photo, that image and your prompt are sent to our AI provider to generate a caption, condition summary or suggested tasks. Results are returned to your project. You control when this runs; nothing is analysed automatically without your action.

Who can see your content

• Members of your company account, according to the role you assign them.
• Subcontractors and clients you invite, limited to the jobs you assign to them.
• Anyone holding a share link you create. Share links are unlisted; delete a link to revoke access.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: cloud hosting and database/storage infrastructure, Stripe for payments, an AI provider for optional photo analysis, map tile and geocoding services for addresses, and email delivery for notifications. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Retention

We keep your content for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data remains available through the end of the paid period and is then scheduled for deletion. You can request deletion of your account and its content at any time by emailing us.

Security

Media is stored in private storage and served through expiring links. Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped per company account, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No system is perfect, so please report anything that looks wrong.

Your choices

• Turn off location permission on your device; photos still upload, without coordinates.
• Access, correct or export your data from within the app, or ask us to do it for you.
• Request deletion of your account and content.
• Unsubscribe from non-essential email notifications.

Children

Contractor Snap is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we make a material change to this policy we will notify account owners by email or in the app before it takes effect.
